This tool can remove and install O-type pinion gears. Has a thin shaft which makes removing even some D-types possible.

Installing a pinion gear that is too tight can damage the motor or tool, so it's crucial to install pinion gears carefully.

Some pinion gears may need to be thermally expanded with a heat gun to ease installation. Lubricating oil is also recommended for installation.

If installation of the pinion gear remains difficult, it may be necessary to remove some material from the armature. This can be done by securely fastening the motor to a vice and running it at very low voltage with the motor tower and pinion gear removed. While the shaft is in motion, carefully apply sandpaper to remove material. It is crucial to remove material in small increments, as excessive removal can result in an overly loose pinion fit.
