product details

This fully CNC machined pinion gear provides optimal geometry and meshing for Siegetek bevel gears. This pinion is incredibly strong and fits very tight on most motor shafts. If in the rare event that this pinion is a loose fit, the undersized bore version (G4U) is required instead. The Siegetek Pinion can be installed onto a D-type shaft and will not cause concentricity issues.

The pinion gear should be shimmed no more than .1mm away from a Siegetek bevel gear.

Please exercise caution when installing this with a pinion puller. This pinion will easily break a pinion puller or bend a motor shaft if you aren't careful. The pinion should never require a massive amount of force to be installed. If that happens, the pinion may be heated to ease installation, but do not heat it over 400F. The armature can also be narrowed with sandpaper if absolutely necessary.

This pinion should never be installed free of lubricant. A few drops of lubricating oil into the bore of the pinion gear and the edges of the motor shaft tip will do.
