When an AEG fires, the piston slams forward into the Cylinder head. Some V2 Gearboxes can split and crack towards the front end due to this repeated stress.

The purpose of this part is to help prevent the front gearbox end from cracking off. It does this by filling in the negative space around the Hop-Up chamber. When the AEG is firing with the clamp installed, the clamp transfers energy and keeps the front end in place.

Interestingly, this clamp may allow the Gearbox to keep functioning even with a frontal crack, as it can prevent the front end from separating entirely. However, it's still recommended to change the Gearbox if a crack occurs.

The Rocket Airsoft Clamp is made of T6 CNC Anodized aluminum for strength and corrosion resistance.

The Clamp should be compatible with most V2 replicas. It is not compatible with 2-piece Hop-Up chambers. It is probably not compatible with any Rotary chambers.

Installation is simple: place in the proper position and tighten the screws with an allen key enough to keep the block in place. Wires will have to be routed around the chamber and M-block if the replica is front-wired. The Rocket Airsoft M-block has been revised to make wire routing easier.
