This is a double spring set for TM SCAR & AK NGRS. It replaces both recoil-weight springs. We recommend applying a small amount of silicone grease to each spring to reduce any reverb and protect surfaces.
The Core design of this product is twofold:
A: We have noticed a weak version of this spring in some models that have come in for servicing. Recoil springs on the SCAR can and will allow the weight to impact the rear of the gearbox from travel, this can push the back of the gearbox off, resulting in a crack at the rear. The most common examples are when people lose and/or forget to install the small last resort spring.
B: The larger of the two springs is twice as strong as the original, 100% stronger. This increases the buffer effect but also increases the positive return time. When combined with faster battery and MOSFET systems, it can result in an overall more positive recoil feel, in my opinion.
We plan on rolling this product out to our standard packages and plan on offering it on most second-hand builds. It's cheaper than a new gearbox shell, that's for sure.
