This gearset has comes with the newest Generation 3 Bevel Gear. It is a fully CNC machined part without a separate gearwheel component.

This Gear set will give you a very high rate of fire when paired with the right motor and battery.

The following enhancements are described by RiotSC himself:

"These Gen 2 gears use a new 2-piece design compared to the original version's 5-piece. The material has also been updated to even stronger nickel chromoly steel as opposed to the chromoly steel used in the original version. The surface finish has been changed to manganese phosphate from the original black oxide. Manganese phosphate provides better wear resistance and lubricant retention properties."

Siegetek gears are flat out the best gears that you can get. Although the price may discourage some people, it's definitely worth it. I bought my last 10.44:1 SSG in May of 2016 from Brill Armory and I've never swapped them out because there's no need. I've put my set through well over 300k cycles and they have ZERO wear at all. No tooth deformities; nothing. The only thing different is some coating came off the bottom of the bevel gear where it meets the anti-reversal latch after 4 years of use, but that is to be expected. My bevel gear has actually made a slight indent in my ARL since it's literally that much harder of a material. They're indestructible when shimmed correctly, they mesh perfectly with almost any pinion, and the design of the bevel gear allows slightly more room to shim even with my tight JG box and thicker bushings. I switched my bushings to F.L.T to compliment these gears and the axial wobble is non-existent but they spin freely. I also want to mention just how fast the 10.44:1 SSG actually is. Compared to even an SHS 12.65:1 gearset, I achieve between 35-36 RPS with a JG Blue or equivalent 22 TPA motor + good fully charged 3S LiPo where I get about 32 RPS with the SHS set I used before these. I personally only believe a review can be honest after extensive use of a product or if you get a lemon to let people know of issues that can happen. After extensive use with my set, I will always recommend buying them. With Siegetek gears, you do pay a premium. But if you can get past the price, it comes a lifetime warranty and the piece of mind knowing they will never fail you.

Just received these in the mail. Super fast shiping, thanks to brill armory. Despite my ARL being stock, the bevel gear still worked without modification. The coating on the bevel is a bit off but these are still fantastic gears. Well worth $125.

50rps (120 spring s/s x2 ) on 11.1v 35 amps with 3000 asg motor as my daily runner i cant put it down :) so impressed i came back for a 2nd pair take it from me you will not! be disappointed with this gear set

A superb set of gears, after using several different brands over a few years (I started playing before classic army was around) I have to say that these are the finest gears i have bought and used. The Sector gear is machined and has a reinforced piston engagement tooth, and the Bevel gear is almost a work of machinist art, minimalist but just works. I installed a set in an ICS M4 with no issues despite the reversal catch being proprietary, and ended up with 35 BB/PS
