product details

This is a 7075 CNC Machined Cylinder Head by SHS.

Because the Piston assembly is constantly slamming against the Cylinder Head during a gearbox cycle, the Cylinder Head endures a lot of stress. Plastic Cylinder Heads tend to crack and fail over time as a result of these stressors. Unlike stock plastic Cylinder Heads, this unit is built from high-grade aluminum and can withstand the strongest of springs.

Due to the dual O-ring design, this Cylinder Head makes an excellent seal. Many Airsofters use Teflon tape to aid in Gearbox compression, but I have not found any need for modification when using these SHS Cylinder Heads. Having good compression in your gun improves efficiency and accuracy.

The cylinder head itself seems like its well made, but it just would not fit with any cylinder I had. I beat the thing to death trying to make it fit in ZCI, Lonex, and any stock cylinders I had laying around but it just would not go in. I took a hammer to the thing and nothing. I'm sure it would make for a perfect air seal if it fit, but for me it just didn't fit.

This is a great cylinder head except, it will be difficult to do aoe. When I went to remove the rubber pad I noticed they machined a circular channel, and the rubber pad has a flange that mates into the channel to lock it into place. If you want to do aoe you will have to fill this channel up with epoxy putty to make a flat surface for the sorbo pad.

I tested it and it sealed perfectly with an SHS AK nozzle. I recommend getting them as a set. I fitted it with a Guarder cylinder and the fit was tight, which IMO is good for ensuring good sealing and it indeed did seal perfectly. I did not need to use Teflon tape.
