product details

This is a 22TPA Long Type Neodymium Motor by ZCI.

As the name implies, this motor is designed for torque in lieu of speed. These motors are snappy, responsive, and powerful. The shaft is outfitted with a D-type pinion gear.

The magnets are just as strong as the SHS ones and wrap nicely around the armature. The armatures are well shimmed, and the build quality appears to be very good given the low price.

Overall, you can't go wrong with this motor. With this kind of price and performance, there is no reason to keep a stock ferrous motor!

Has worked flawlessly with every build I've thrown at it! This is 22 TPA so it's perfect combined with low-ratio gears.

tl;dr: great price-performance, but may have fitment issues Great torque due to solid construction and strong magnets, capable of pulling pretty much anything at 3s lipo. I've used this to pull M110, M120, and M155s on 2s with no problems. It performs similarly to a JG Blue high power, and if it does that means it can pull an M170 in a v2.5 gearbox (19t piston) on 3s. However, these motors' endbells are longer by 1-2mm than standard motor cans. I measured against KWA high torque, Classic Army high torque, JG Blue super high power, and G&G 24k. The ZCI A2 motor grip may not be compatible, as I was not able to drop motor height low enough to mesh with an SHS bevel gear in a Retro Arms V2 gearbox. It does seem to mesh properly in the G&G ARP9 stock grip, and I currently have mine in a KWA TK.45 with the motor height adjustment grub screw completely bottomed out. Highly recommended for great price-performance ratio. However, make sure your motor height adjustment has some room to drop to accommodate this slightly taller motor can.

Great torque and a somewhat balanced ROF. Do keep in mind that the pinion may not fit perfectly with your bevel gear. This happened to me so I replaced with another pinion gear. Also, this motor was ever so slightly longer my stock motor. After shimming, I was forced to modify the grip plate and motor to allow it to be adjusted correctly.

This motor runs wonders in my AEG, easily pulling an SP140 spring, paired with some other internal upgrades i'm satisfied with the power of this well built, fairly priced piece of hardware

Solid high torque motor. Put it in my dmr with a nukefet for some serious trigger response. On a relatively stock gearbox this motor paired with a 25c 11.1 lipo gives me two shot burst. So I know that this motor has a lot of potential to be pulling some serious power. Good motor and affordable, bottom line its some good stuff.

This motor is built nice and has good hardware, it has great magnets and a strong pinion. For some reason with mine the alignment with the actual can is off. which puts the armature at an angle and it will not complete a cycle without being jammed into the gearbox, my motor is not the only one that has had this exact problem. I would recommend it for someone who needs a 22 tpa right away as there are definitely better options.
